And keep in mind this is not what LEOs are employed to do…their training makes them much more effective providing services other than escorting semis. Talk trash all you want, I don't agree with some of the things they focus on either, like speeding over reckless driving/lane crossing, but the fact is there are whole businesses dedicated to escorting semis, and this "ain't their job", so I say we thank them for it.

Thank them for escort, and ask why don't they escort them back where they came from?

I believe their job is to "protect and serve" as many of them say that right on their fender. I'd say this definitely falls under that category, especially given last week's unfortunate events. That being said, there's a very simple solution to that particular problem....ban the trucks.
Actually, it is part of their job. It isn't a one-purpose line of employment.
