Blount Co. Sheriffs searched for a missing rider, walking for miles along the roadside in the sweltering heat in full uniforms Saturday. All your hard work is admirable and appreciated. Unfortunately the rider had gone down and hit a tree, killing him. Our thoughts go out to the friends and family.

As someone who is still recovering from a bike accident in Feb. I have a great appreciation for emergency responders. Thanks for what you do. My condolences to the rider's family and friends.
