Weekly Update - August 1, 2007
So another slow week at the Gap, with rain on and off Saturday. The Miatas were out playing when they could...we'll leave it at that.
This weekend the Integras and Saturns are the only groups on Tha Calendar, and temps are going to be around 90 with high humidity, so drink those fluids!

We did a waterfall run down by Franklin and Highlands on Friday, Dry Falls was great but Bridal Veil Falls was a trickle. Did Wayah Road down and 28 back. Never really ran into any rain much. Went back to Highlands Saturday via 28 both ways. I think we saw the LEO's one time on the last run back. There was some accident and they were airlifting someone out They must have been too busy pestering everyone on the Dragon. If it weren't for all the driveways and the sporadic quality of the pavement, 28 is almost as fun as the Dragon. Almost.
I was on the Dragon on Aug 1st, taking my "new" 1980 Yamaha XS850 home to Houston from D.C. Very light traffic, with the exception of the semi that cut a hairpin short - right in front of me - and dropped his inside rear trailer wheels into the abyss. All my trip details are here - http://tinyurl.com/2fwz8r
