Whoooow! Now I know what I can do with all our old "car show" pictures!!
cool, but needs stickers!
Why does the cockpit of these mini coopers look so huge? Does anyone else remember when doors on cars weren't so damn tall! You can't even comfortably drive with your arm resting on the door anymore.
@Matt: it's the camera angle. Killboy seems to fit into a New Mini; I don't. I'm 6'-0". Tried one on in 2005 and my head hit the sunroof frame. I can barely fold myself into my daughter's New Mini.
Nice rant, though.
I can't rest my arm on the door of my Mustang. When my hands aren't at 10 and 2, they're at 5 and 7 with my left arm on the...armrest.
Keep in mind Minis have height adjustable seats. Did you have it lowered?
I'm about 6'-0" also, but I sit "short". (Short torso, long legs) I've got about a foot between my head and the ceiling of our Mini. (no sunroof) I've considered having the top chopped it's so tall inside.
And I imagine the tall window sills are part styling (See new Camaro) and part safety. (Higher crash beams) (I like parenthesis ;)
Good point, KB-I didn't check for height adjustment. Just slid it back. Plenty of legroom. I have a long torso. But my head was touching.
An eight-inch chop would be something to see...
The only time the high sills on the Mustang bother me is at ATM's and toll booths. But then I rarely hung my elbow out the window even when I could. Ten and two, people, ten and two-unless you're on the Interstate. Even then, unless you need a bit of a rest.
