340 horsepower turbocharged Kawi Z1000 motor bored and stroked runnin on alcohol. Mid 8's in the quarter and top speed over 200mph the owner said. Here's a video.
Sounds stupid, but... is that thing street legal? I see lights fore and aft.
Dude's got big brass ones to be able to verify those numbers. Cool machine, but I'd be downright scared of trying that kinda stuff with it!
I NEED one of those!
Thought he was going to hit that truck and die, maybe next time.
Color me skeptical about the 200 mph on top. It might be powered and geared for it on paper, but I would like to see what rpm those kart tires would be turning at that speed!I don't think the white coats at Dunlop had that specification on their "to do list".
If he's willing to launch that thing in a parking lot wearing gear that's marginal for a neighborhood barbecue, maybe he troubles himself not about Dunlop's speed rating. Stops better than it looks like it would, though. Mid-eight's ought to be good for 150+, no? Not that I'd care to find out, stuck out in front of that frame. Hard to believe that a strip would let him run it as configured.
Not street legal, the lights are for night drag strips so he can see a little better and be seen.I can't verify the numbers, just passing on what I was told. Brakes were good though...dual hydraulic disks on front.
