Road Train Mate !
The was the F***** that about ran me off the road in a corner.
Everyone sign Ike's Law petition please!
I am sure they will restrict traffic while they straighen the Dragon.
Rhetorical question; What happens when two of them meet going in opposite directions?
Great question RTDan!
If they can have trucking restriction on US 64 between Franklin and Highlands, why can't they have them here?
btw, they didn't straighten out US 64 when they added the trucking restrictions. The impact on the tourist industry in the area would preclude TennDOT from straightening the Dragon.
What state for that US 64? All I can find is Arkansas. No permit loads, and an 11' wide striction, 80' long restriction, then another 10' wide restriction.
martvol, it's between Franklin and Highlands, NC. narrow with curves and steep dropoffs. It's a fun ride also.
you people just need to learn how to share the roads. the DOT isnt going to make this a truck restricted route just because you think it should so get over it.
I caught up to the trucks just as they were getting to Topoco and thought to myself "are you shitting me?"

I pulled over 3-4 times between the state line and the overlook and still caught them before they made it to the overlook. I was heading north to drive Devil's Triangle (which really wasn't worth it) and was pretty much stuck behind them until we got to 411
@ ussenterp65, clearly you haven't been up there when a truck comes through. It's the trucks that need to learn to "share the road" as on several turns, their only way through is to use the entire thing. So sharing the road should be pulling off and letting somebody else use ALL of it? Hardly.
Well you can try to use your side while there on it, but I don't think that will turn out so well.
