Could be a 56; they are so close...
Yup, '55 Bel Air.
Top-of-the-line; more trim than the 210 or the 150, which had no side chrome to speak of.
Later, the Impala became the Bel Air and the Bel Air became the 210. By then, we even had a/c!
AND finally had a V8! To run the AC I guess?
Yup, '55 was the first year for the small-block V-8.
Ford already had the Y-block OHV, but it weighed a LOT more than Chevy's, which also breathed better.
