Get some real gear! :)
why, they're so under powered and over priced. I'll bet that shirt went over well at the resort while he was buying his "I slayed the Dragon t-shirt."
HD the most efective way to make sound without horse power
A real bike? As apposed to a 60 hp, 900 lbs., pushrod-engined, 100 year old technology Hardley-Ableson!? Nothing more fun than smoking morons like that on a KTM/Husky/'Berg, etc., single cylinder. My buddy invented a new culinary delight with his KTM - we call it stuffed Hardley.
Mopeds rule !
Quicker too !
My super moto single has almost as much hp as his twin. ahem, electronics from japan, brakes from italy, chrome from china, that's on his bike! myhaahhaha1!!
>sigh< As a Harley rider, I feel obligated to apologize for his lack of class and intelligence.
can't we just all get along???
At one time the GoldWing was more American made then the HD's
probably still is
Two wheels and an engine = Real Bike
When all you baaaaaad real dragon slayers grow up maybe you will want a Harley. I know ...with all that fame and fortune you get for slaying the Dragon you will live like rock stars.Lets have a contest starting at the Dragon and ending at the N.C coast and see who;s ready to get off first.
@ spec,fx, I'd be willing to take up that challenge, but then I have an ST1300. I'll make up a lot of distance while you are at the gas pump.
A challenge to go across one state?? That's pretty weak. looks like even this guy came from new jersey
I rode my Daytona to the gap, played for a few days then went home...to wisconsin. Down in a day, back in a day. Loved every minute...expect chicago. Chicago blows.
Of all the non american bikes in my garage, I will probably make the next trip on an R1, or ideally, my 67 enfield interceptor. Do real bikes need electric starters? What about turn siganals? Mine didnt come with either.
Growing old is manditory , growing up is completely optional.
well said guys, Given the time and the currency I'll ride my Concours14 coast to coast. I enjoyed every bit of my 15 hour Iron Butt Saddle Sore challenge at the age of 43, so I'm not some young squid punk.
I usually ride my '03 Blackbird on The Dragon. Coming back over from Chattanooga, I took my VTX1300 through. It's way more refined and capable than most HD's and it still isn't exactly a precision instrument.
Should read...
GET A REAL unstable, heavy, under-powered, expensive BIKE for your big butt.
@Steve...
or as I like to say, "Harley Davidson... converting fuel into noise for over 100 years."
Sorry, I shouldn't judge what people like to ride. In trying to judge the guy who was judging people, I judged people...
and now I'm just confused... shutting up now.
This is exactly the kind of rider I love to pass with a vengeance -- on my 400cc Yamaha Majesty. They don't seem to enjoy being passed by a scooter.
i was on an aprillia 250 scooter and they really hate being passed by one of those
i even saw a buch of honda ruckas guys passing some, wow
Okay, I guess we all CAN'T get along.
This is what makes it America. WE can CHOOSE what we want to ride. There are no wrong answers. Yes, I ride a Harley, but I don't bash the "rock stars" for riding something else.
Lighten up and enjoy life!
Honda Ruckus passing a Harley? There is another picture on this very same page of highlights of a bicycle passing a Harley on a downhill right hand turn. Hah, enough said!
well said Sinistral, all bikes should be appreciated and all attitudes should be left at home.
