Maybe a modified Jag D-Type

Arnolt-Bristol roadster. Only 127 roadsters were ever sold so this is one rare puppy.

Felnus has it. A very rare bird, indeed!

Felnus is right. Small English manufacturer. I have never seen one in the real world before.

Erring on the side of TMI: S.H. Arnolt was a British Motor Corporation distributor out of Chicago in the 50's. The Bristol was a sporty-ish car powered by the quick-ish pre-war BMW 328 "almost OHC" engine. Bertone, the Italian coachbuilder, had done a roadster body on spec for the Aston Martin DB2/4--no takers. Arnolt had Bertone adapt the body to the Bristol--viola, the Arnolt-Bristol. Very expensive, but it tore up the SCCA C-Production class in the late '50's.
