Slayer Hater just passed that entire group...
Is there some sort of movement afoot? I was up there 2 weeks ago and I've never seen so many people refuse to let others go by and/or intentionally drive slowly. All locals, too.
Like that little old lady on the freeway, driving 45 in the fast lane, not a care in the world because the world is all about me.
Stupid is a s stupid does.
pretty sad....
The one cruiser that FINALLY pulled aside for my group promptly fell over, and was unable to right his bike, as far as we could tell. If you can't LIFT it, let alone turn it, park it.
"gat-dang kids on their sportbicycles!"
Gee I'm thinking I better go somewhere else this year. People can't stay in their lanes and others are holding you up. Maybe I'll just head over to the Snake this year.
Don't make me stop posting honest shots now...just like the majority of photos on every week's highlights, the majority of people are having a great time.
PLEASE don't stop!
Your pics don't affect my desire to ride that roller-coaster road!
looks like i'm going to spend my money somewhere else this year.
This is why i'm so happy I have mondays off.
Ya know, I fully and 100% agree that this guy could definitely "Let 'em by", however, I will say that he is in his OWN lane, at least. Seems to be riding safely and sporting proper gear. We bitch so much about unsafe drivers/riders, then when someone is being responsible (albeit, very slowly), we give 'em shit.
We all have to remember that this is a PUBLIC road, not ANYONE'S personal "track time". Again, the guy could easily pull over, but in America, he has the right to that decision, now doesn't he? Is it worse that he rides slowly and holds up a few dozen people, or would you rather see him ride irresponsibly or carelessly possibly causing an accident that would hold up EVERYONE in BOTH directions while bringing out more law enforcement and negative attention to the road in general?
I'm not preaching to anyone, but sometimes it's not a terrible idea to see the bigger picture. So he holds up some folks during his few passes. So long as he's not endangering other riders/drivers.....
All true, although there is a law in tennessee that states you must pull over and allow traffic to pass once a certain number of vehicles get behind you if you can't maintain the speed limit...i think it's 4 or 5.
Somehow, I doubt he was checking his rearview mirrors.
