I nominate you as next year's Safety Coordinator.

I don't think that's being unreasonable, do you?

Yeah, since this is the person who ran you off the road while they were passing another MINI in a blind curve and didn't even bother to stop to make sure you were ok. You let them off light.

I was wondering if this was that asshat.. Mini drivers are a good group as a whole, but this is one of the ones who needs to be educated.

PLEASE remember that your lack of concern can get one of us killed on the road.

Rumor is she has already totalled one Mini in her lifetime, and she can't drive at the track either. If she had met any other driver or rider than Killboy in that corner, they would have been her hood ornament. Please, lady, don't come back until you learn to drive for real.

I'm very glad no one was hurt. Please remember that sometimes it's someone else driving so please don't make accusations lightly. This used to be my MINI, and people still think it's me because we both have dark hair. I do know that the current owner has not totalled a MINI, and she's not the worst driver I've seen at the track.

CometGirl, the girl in this picture is the one who ran Darryl off the road. Don't worry, she is well known now and she is not welcome back at The Dragon.

Let's find out who she is and where is she from... She needs to be a "poster girl" for her great driving... Biatch!

Instead of teaching lets berate and belittle a person. I think killboy has it right, lets help everyone from this 1 incident by having her as a safety coordinator next year.

What was the Mini group doing to prevent lane crossing of new people?

Last year was my first year and I went to the Newbie Orientation with at least a 30 min. long video/class on the Dragon and then we drove it and talked about it. It was a great help and really, really stressed the dangers and I kept that same teaching with me this year. That is offered twice but its the people that don't take the class that is the problem. If it wasn't a public road, wish we could require it!

I was on my GSXR leading then following a blue Mini in the dark. That Guy was a great driver and was totally in control at all times.
Not all are clueless.
We talked by the lake around 10:00 pm
I complimented him on his driving.....

Kevin, I'm glad you found value in the rookie orientation (this is MINIBee). It's designed to educate everyone and instill the spirit of safety and a "play by the rules" attitude we hope everyone will respect. Unfortunately, in every group there are people who feel the rules don't apply to them. This just makes me sick and I'm sorry Darryl. We'll try harder.

As a MINI owner who has been to this event several times, it really bothers me that we have people in our group who are so disrespectful and unconcerned with the safety of themselves and others. We keep emphasizing staying within your lane and staying in control. Unfortunately, some either aren't paying attention or feel it doesn't apply to them. Like Jack said, we're sorry and will continue to try to spread the message that this isn't the way to drive.

@Battle Cattle - I really don't think the new people are the problem. We had two rookie orientation sessions, one had about 50 people and the had about 30. Those people did fine. I really think the intentional line crossers, most of them, are veterans and that's what makes this so bad.

Here's a link to the video we show at the rookie orientation.
