What is the little display right in front of your view Daryl?
It's the display part of a data acquisition system that uses g-force sensors and GPS to save a record of those variables to a removable memory card so you can review your run afterwards as a data-map. You can add sensors for all kind of cool stuff like steering angle, suspension travel, brake fluid pressure, etc, but they're pretty expensive.
The display can show different variables like RPM, gear indicator, shift lights...right now it's showing GPS corrected speed and lateral G load.
And by the way, KB forgot to mention it also runs NASA. Just a minor side-note.... What a showoff. Ha! j/k
Cool stuff fer sure KB... Hope you didn't have to use that farr extinguisher??
Rough commute btw.
Thanks for pic and description KB.
I used this to prove to my wife that I am NOT the biggest gadget hound/geek out there....lol
Good to see you have a SPOT with ya up there. Unfortunately I had to put my 911 function to use over the labor day weekend up on 68. Fortunately my buddy was ok, but when there was no cell service it got the paramedics there.
Worth every penny!
Thanks Darrly for my new decktop picture. We need more like these so that we can feel like we are there 7 days a week also. Need one from the Cooper and a special request would be from a 1989 Civic
Thanks Again !!
How's it running? Are you digging the TME Turbo? (I was in the white one a few weeks back)
Hey Robert! The new turbo works pretty good...nothing crazy, but quick solid boost. Still burning a lot of oil though...thought the turbo would fix that, but must be valves or something. (compression test shows good piston pressure) Also started getting a miss, checked the plugs and there were covered in white deposits. Replaced with an older set and that helped some, but I need a new set and they don't sell them at the local shops. Major issue now though is a dripping oil leak that may or may not be related to the smoking, so I'm going to get it into the shop that built it (FastTech in Knoxville) when they get back from SEMA. :(
You asked for it. ;)
