Weekly Update - September 8, 2010

Fantastic weather all of a sudden for the last week or so. Kinda chilly at night, but great temps during the day, with nice breezes and low humidity. Last weekend was one of the busiest we've seen all year. We took tens of thousands of photos, haven't even counted yet, but working as fast as we can to get them sorted and online with our piddly internet connection here.

Quite a few accidents last week, and right on into the Monday holiday. Didn't hear of anything serious except a regular female visitor on her custom ZX14 hitting a RV turning left onto Hwy 72 off of 129. In their defense this is a really tricky blind intersection that needs to be addressed somehow. We heard the rider suffered some pretty serious damage to the legs, but initial surgeries went well. You're in our thoughts girl!

This weekend there are a few rallies in the area, like Women's Sportbike Rally, Thunder in the Smokies, 8th Civic.com, and a couple of scooter groups. There's also a bicycle ride coming through early-ish Saturday, with more info on that ride here.
