What happens to the handling when the inside wheel gets unloaded on one of these? With the automatic braking stuff, can excitement ensue? I'm convinced I don't really understand these at all.
Still leaning the wrong way...
My understanding has always been that you can't do this. they are supposed to cut ignition and apply brake before a tire leaves the ground. I guess I was wrong.
I imagine any safety feature can be bypassed.
How do we by-pass *you*?
It was trying to stop him from doing, spitting and popping, but he tossed it in there kinda hot and got it to pop up for a split second.
No disrespect to the owners/riders of Can-Ams, they look like they'd be pretty fun although a bit of a workout, especially be cool if they'd let ya spin up the rear tire mid-turn, but I lost a lot of respect for the company when I found out a few days ago they were up at the IMS shows actually telling potential customers their machines held the record across Deals Gap. Going so far as to lie brazenly to drum up sales is despicable, not to mention the annoyance it causes people in our position who have to listen to someone who actually believes something so unlikely because a salesman said it.
The *only* record those 3-wheeled home gyms hold is for pumped-up fore-arms and dis-located shoulders.
They are so desperate to unload those turds they are making shit up, *losers*
That's me. Sorry for the slow response. I'm in the Army and been busy for the last few weeks.
As mentioned earlier, the Stability Control Sytem brakes the wheels and/or reduces reduces engine torque when a wheel comes up. This results in the sputtering usually heard in an agressive turn. There's no way to disable the system, so besides slowing down, the options are to lean into the turn and/or add an aftermarket (stiffer) swaybar.
The Spyder has power steering, so there's no workout. That was my first trip to the Dragon and did it four times that day. I had a blast and expect to get back up there Veteran's Day weekend.
