BMW Z8
correct. Depending on the wheels and a few other items, with a different view, you can see if it was one of the last one that was offered in an automatic tranny (ALPINA edition)
Wife and I spent the night at Pisgah Inn one night several years ago and there was one there. I got pics somewhere.... thought I was lookin' at some kind of BMW prototype or somethin'!
correct...Alpina versions had a different engine and an auto tranny (among other things)...they also had Alpine badging in place of the BMW propellers so this one is just a standard Z8...
Oh well, someone else guessed it...Z8.
From what I understand, aside from the sexy sounding name, the Alpina version was a toned down version of the original anyway. I'd prefer "just a standard Z8" thank you very much. ;)
To paraphrase Casey at the bat, "That's too easy Darryl. BMW Z8. Give me a harder one."
