Looks like the tow trucks holding a better line than one of those cars did. OK, just a guess on my end about what happened to the cages. But kudos to the flat drivers here.
We were there after it happened. The kid in the Nissan came in too fast on a curve, slammed on brakes, aftermath, t-boned the Focus. He cracked his head. There was a burgandy Corvette behind the focus, I bet the driver prayed it wasn't him.
20 ft skid marks starting on the yellow line. Foolish, very foolish. Lucky the Focus hit a tree soon, didn't get far off the road. Inane directions from THP - I missed his pathetic hand signals, just thought he had to pee. THP - if you're going to direct traffic, then DIRECT it! Big movements, point where you want me to go, don't just wiggle in place, I got lots to pay attention to.
Yup, looks like the only way to get this damage is for some one to venture over that center lane marker known as the doulble yellow... shame, shame, shame...
