Nothing says hardcore like a chick with chain grease on her calf.
The message on the tail of the right one says "Protect your junk"...I concur. Although I try to love all y'all, riding 2/3 abreast like this on a twisty road with lots of blind turns is dangerous unless you're going downhill at least. We came up behind some of you guys in the car going uphill at 5mph 2-wide and was just waiting for someone to cream my rear bumper as we rounded blind turns waiting for a safe opportunity to pass...which is technically illegal. There were no pull-offs for quite a ways in the direction we were traveling. Share the road works both ways.

I was thinking the same thing when I passed them going the opposite direction on the bike. I flashed my headlight at some of the oncoming cars to let them know to watch out.
Actually, that grease on her leg is known as "rookie ring."
Still gets props for riding in the mountains, but everything you said about that safety stuff.
Numb crotches, hard to stimulate in the bedroom !
Well said KB, no disrespect meant, but 2/3 wide is not "sharing" it's called blocking traffic and creating a mess.

beat me to it.
(a) (1) Any person operating a bicycle upon a roadway
at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time
and place and under the conditions then existing
shall ride as close as practicable to the right-hand
curb or edge of the roadway, except under any of
the following situations:
(A) When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding
in the same direction;
(B) When preparing for a left turn at an intersection or
into a private road or driveway; or
(C) When reasonably necessary to avoid conditions including,
but not limited to, fixed or moving objects, parked or
moving vehicles, pedestrians, animals, surface hazards,
or substandard width lanes that make it unsafe to
continue along the right-hand curb or edge. For
purposes of this section, "substandard width lane"
means a lane that is too narrow for a bicycle and
another vehicle to travel safely side by side within
the lane.
(a standard width lane is elsewhere defined as 12')

I like the one on the right,it ways "Protect your junk" on the lower part of her back....
Riding 2 or 3 abreast isn't just a bad idea. It's illegal.
It pains me as a motorcyclist and a cyclist to see this stuff. A lot of my riding buddies are often spouting about "%^&*ing bicyclers" and this is the sort of thing that causes that, and the sort of thing that causes my defensive statements to fall on deaf ears. I don't think you need to work that hard to make people hate you.
Besides, if you're riding like that so you can talk, you're obviously not pumping the pedals hard enough!
If these cyclists can't do better than 5 miles per hour, for their safety and everyone else's, they should stick to pedal-n-giggles on the bicycle trails in our area. This is nothing more than a very offensive moving roadblock...
BTW, the rookie ring girl on the left...her seat is WAAAY too low.
Pack of Pin-Heads!
More into off-road cycling, but do ride the mtn bike on the road a lot. I ride the road hard while keeping on High alert for vehicles that may crush me!
Riding like that is Plain Stupid.
On the Dragon? Plain Deadly Stupid.
Why?
Look up DZ NUTS, its really gnarly !
Its Taint Lube !
Lots of bicycles all over the area last week. They always give a me weird glances when going by. I even roll of the thumper when passing so if they catch up with me somewhere they don't scratch my eyes out !
Right now their conversation is going something like this:
"Hey you guys? I think we need *tighter shorts*, these don't show quite *every* bulge and crevice on my butt."
Other 3 reply "that sounds like a *great* idea! Why didn't we think of it?"
Oh, the righteousness is killing me. Who here DOES NOT break the law or create a hazardous situation every time you go through?
Dude, they can ride the double yellow if they want!
My point was/is if you are cyclist who is fond of a little thang called "life" you might want to consider doing the Dragon single-file. Two (2) abreast on that thrill-ride of a road? For Fooks Sake Lad!
I have not yet had the pleasure of dodging nimrods on the Dragon, but the day will come.
Common-Sense tells me that is *not* the road for four (4) cyclists to be all over the road!
My point applies to all roads/cyclists (I am one, no tight shorts though, sorry), and don't you think your ride should be tailored for the conditions? Road with no to low traffic is the time to be breaking away and stuntin' it up Yo!
All that cyclist garb yet no rider there knew enough to put that girls seat up?
@Noah: Uh, a lot of people? Most I would say. Hell Lori and I were driving through at the speed limit not bothering a soul that day.
But hey, what was I thinking by kindly asking someone to ease over a couple of feet when traveling a FRACTION of the speed limit on a twisty road filled with traffic? When new laws are put in place requiring cyclists to stay within inches of the white line, it'll come as a surprise I'm sure. Righteous!
OMG they are the same way here in oregon except WORSE. Some of the roads here are much tighter, technical and the corners even more blind than the dragon and I've had several situations where I've come across packs of 10 cyclers with some riding 4 wide. They absolutely refuse to get over single file long enough for you to pass. They know you're there.. I've seen them turn and look back at me... and then they continue on like they own the world.
