Its a public rd.and where tring to do our job.We have stores to del.to.One day maby will all go ride our bikes for a week and let the stores go empty.When u cry babys have no gas to put in ur scooters,no food to put in ur mouths,no work at ur jobs,maby you'll be glade to see a trucker to bring in some freight.Its a public hwy.not a play ground.I have been riding a bike for 23 years.You guys are clowns and it makes me ashamed to be a biker seeing ur stupid post about truckers.How many deaths on this rd. 35+,none from a truck.Every notice all the wrecks in front of killboy,u clowns try to hotdog in front of a cam..Again,its a public rd,not a play ground.Were doing our job,were not out here for the fun of it,TRUCKS STOP,AMERICA STOPS.To bad not many of you children can understand that.If u don't like my truck get off the rd,cause I'm coming thru.GO FIND A KIDDIE PARK TO PLAY,DIDN'T UR MOM TELL U NOT TO PLAY ON THE HWY?
I don't think anyone is saying they want to see trucks stop making their rounds. These trucks are not making deliveries or picking up goods from this area, they are using this road as a shortcut or to avoid scales, and endangering the lives of everyone else who's using it, whether it be for play or utility. Almost every truck we've escorted, on our own time at our own cost mind you, says they'll never come back to this place and they can't believe trucks are even allowed across. In fact, to quote a recent trucker I escorted:
"I want to thank you for helping us through that day, I have no doubt you saved some damage if not life of bike riders. If i had known what i was getting into I would never have taken that route, and apologize to any one whom I put at risk. That route is not restricted to trucks by the state!!! All info available to truckers, in maps, on signs and on gps systems, say that is a legal route to run. that should be changed. if you ever need a letter from a driver to get that done you got it. Thanks again for all your help, and keep cruising the curves. you will see us again, but this time it will be on two wheels, NOT 18!!!"
And as a final point, my father-in-law drives a low boy rig from Robbinsville to Knoxville regularly. He goes around I-40 or the Skyway to avoid crossing Deals Gap due to the danger it puts others in and liability to his company.
If you can't stay on your side of the road, your truck is too big. Get a smaller delivery truck or stay off the road! Bonehead truckers breaking the rules cause LOTS of deaths, usually a whole innocent family. You block the view, throw up muddy spew, and you tear up the roads! Especially when you ride on and off the edge of the road. And you guys are the reason rush hour is so slow, we can't get around you. They should make you drive at night only.

And that's why trucks will be banned next year. Bikes...not so much.
BTW, I took the liberty of logging your IP address, your slanderous/threatening remarks toward me, my wife, and the general public, and the time stamp, and sent it all to the abuse department of your ISP. (That's your Internet Service Provider) I'd say they're monitoring your activity right about now. Please say something else about me or my wife...I'm begging you.
Also sent that info to a couple of law enforcement friends of mine who will probably be very interested in that whole "protecting the public" thing they do. It can be used to trace your identity and ultimately your employer, who I'm sure would love to hear that one of their drivers is making these threats. Oh, and since you'd be crossing state lines, it's a federal thing.

You are right that it is a public road and you have a privilege to use said road. Bicycles have a right to the road. Motor vehicles privileges can be taken away. Trucks break the law EVERY time they are on the Dragon. Motorcycles and cars do not always break the law. If you cannot do your job correctly (maintaining your truck in your own lane), then perhaps you should take another road that will allow you to do so. The LEO's in my opinion, should be ticketing EVERY truck driver that comes down that road for failure to maintain your lane. Tennessee Code Annotated § 55-8-123(1) requires
that a vehicle shall “be driven as nearly practicable entirely within a single lane and shall not be
moved from such lane until the driver has first ascertained that such movement can be made with
safety.” You CANNOT safely do this due to the extreme curves on the Dragon.
Very well said John! Trucks or anyone crossing lanes is breaking the law and for that they should be ticketed.

Truckers like you may not kill anyone but you cause injuries when people run under your rig because you can't keep your big ass out of our lanes. Trucks also cause property damage when you run us bikers and cars off the road for the above mentioned big ass.
I don't argue that this is a public road but my tourist dollars pay for it also.

Maby so,I don't ride on the road to much anymore.just can't enjoy the ride from the cars doing stupid things,ie texting,running red lights ect.I ride my dirt bike and four wheelers more.I can enjoy the ride more.
Everyone has the right to use a public road... AND everyone has the responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of all other users. When it comes to a road like The Dragon, driving a semi through it is ridiculously irresponsible.
Show some maturity, Trucker. And show some caring toward all other users of the road, whether it's a motorcycle, sports coupe, or family-filled mini-van.
Besides, you never know when one of the other users is an off-duty officer or other emergency worker who will make a quick phone call and have your egotistical a$$ arrested and your truck searched. ;)
Whatever,u say there stupid, this road is a joke.I have been on a lot worse in yellow stone park picking up cedar in the winter,13 % grades for 11 mile 13000 ft up. Wv has worse roads. You don't have a clue what a bad road looks like. I'm not afraid of no cops, and they check my truck a lot at the ports. I ve hauled a lot of lumber up that road to a saw mill.your playn on a public rd. You guys go all the trouble to ride 11 mile of road? Stupid,grow a pair take a real road trip to south dakota. The dragon is a joke.speed is the #1 reason so many people get hurt there.Playn on a public road is stupid,take it to the race track.And I love all the gear u guys wear, if ur scared to ride then stay home,I love how u guys all go in groups with the same bikes,cars talk about gay.

Ok,for what its worth,I'm sorry kb and kill girl,I have not ran that road since 2001,and it should have a truck restriction on it.I just enjoy playn with weak minded people cause its just to much fun to piss off people.I love it,its better than drugs,beer and sex.
