For anyone who's noticed the rampant kudzu ivy along 129 south of the Dragon...

...there's a new effort to stop it I suppose.

If someone could come up with some good recipes for kudzu, NC could feed the world.

The young leaves make a good salad green... Just ask Alton Brown.

I've got a feeling the fight against kudzu is going to be very similar to the fight against a depressed economy. There is no profit in it...

kRudzo

Wasn't that krap "imported" for some reason or another?

Health stores sell it in powder form to curb the need for alcohol. No kidding !

It was introduced to the US from Japan in 1876 for many uses, but was promoted primarily for erosion control and farm animal grazing. In the southeast there's nothing to kill it - natural predators or deep frost winters - so it grows out of control.
