Weekly Update - October 7th, 2009

Photos from the last six years are available in Our Store here, these are the highlights from last week.

Hey people! Hope things are going well for you...we're getting along nicely, ready for winter vacation but not before the vibrant fall leaves change. Not much happening yet on the foliage front yet...some leaves are starting to fall, but they're just early quitters. Most of them are still green and hanging in there.

Last week/weekend we had frequent overcast and threats of rain, plus it was very chilly a few days, so traffic was pretty light. This weekend's looking iffy as, though not quite as cold.

Not many groups on the calendar, Toyota/Lexus/Scion meet, and the Save the Dragon motorcycle rally/poker run/scavenger hunt hosted by the Stop I-3 Coalition. (more info here)

Finally, and most embarrassingly, I busted my right hand up pretty good and gotta wear a cast for the remainder of the season. I broke 3 metacarpals down near the wrist on my pinky, ring, and middle fingers. The fractures are lined back up nicely though, and it looks like everything will heal up fine. Let's just say the next time you get frustrated with an inanimate object, refrain from taking it out on a hardwood floor. Floor always wins.

Ok, on to high(and low)lights!

Thanks for the leaf update. I'm coming down this weekend anyway. Had to plan vacation from work two weeks in advance, so. It will still be fun.

Ouch!! Had a co-worker with the same problem only broke the pinky right at the joint. Now their pinky is all caddy-wampus. Hope you heal soon...

Darryl! Dang! I have x-rayed so many Boxer's Fractures over the years, especially when I worked at the University of Cincinnati's Student Health Service. College kids frequently punch inanimate objects and end up where you are. Heal up soon! Bonegirl
