WTH? Crankcase vent?

I think this tube has something to do with the vacuum system and maybe they were not getting good fuel pressure. I had this hose unhooked on my F3 and had problems from time to time with the bike dying when I had it set up on gravity feed (stupid Honda fuel pumps).
