914-6?
Bitchin'! That thing is seriously bad-ass... Go owner!
Porsche 914 with GT flares and 5-lug conversion. Possibly a 914-6.
Nice Deep Dish Fuch alloys on the rear.
Not too bad for something from the early 1970's eh?
Usually, if it had the 5-luggers, it was a 914-6. The sound would have given it away...Darryl?
I don't recall how it sounded, sorry. Too many years of standing on the side of the road listening to "Loud Pipes Save Lives".
A 5-lug conversion is a VERY common upgrade among enthusiasts. The 911 front suspension bolts right in. They typically drill and stud the original rear hubs, but some find the uber-rare 914-6 stub axles.
At any rate, a VERY nice looking Porsche!
I had a silver 1970 914-6 in 1974. They were produced 1969-1972, but only sold in U.S. 1970-1971. Drive train was a 911T unit flipped around to creat mid-engine. I seem to recall the wide body was for a racing version called 916. It did sound good!
This ugly thing a Porsche?
don't believe it.
Anyhow Dad's Alfa Spider was much nicer and infected me with the open air virus.
Get a rig and some free time, even the shopping becomes a mini vacation then.
