These "DIP" signs on either side of Gravity Cavity are very needed. There are also signs denoting the "Scenic Overlook" as you approach the Overlook, and a couple of "Stay In Lane" signs...although oddly placed. They also added ANOTHER curvy road sign close to the one already located right in the middle of the Gap. Really?
They are all located in pretty safe locations though, that shouldn't cause issues for crashers.

the dip sign should at least make for some fun pictures if you catch people crossing the double yellow through there.
After all the incidents there, maybe it should say, Dip and Die
that should get some attention.
What does DIP stand for?
Nacho: It doesn't stand for anything, it is a word that means there is a drop or low segment...in this case, it is in the roadway. This drop or dip is hard to see in this shot, but it causes a lot of people to crash because they don't expect it.
And so begins the contest for "DIP" acronyms! ...AND...GO!
