Weekly Update - June 3, 2009

Pretty busy last weekend, with one of the biggest car rallies of the year - Zdayz 2009 - along with several other smaller groups doing their annual thing. Quite a few incidents involving bikes and cars both separate and together. One rider went off Saturday evening and had to be flown out, which was the worst I heard of. Most walked away.

This week there are several big bike rallies on the calendar, including the R1/R6 group, SV rally, Dam Bike Rally at Fontana Village, and Smoky Vally Rally in Louden. Hope everyone has a good time.

A couple of notables - Charity ride for "The Refuge" homeless women's shelter in Midtown TN called "Ride for The Refuge" will take place June 13th. Go here for more info.

Also a quick congrats to Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson in Maryville, TN for ranking #1 among all dealerships east of the Mississippi in sales and service. You don't achieve that without tons of hard work and a great staff. We're not affiliated with these guys in anyway, but I saw it in the free local biker publications "Handlbars" (which I'm really digging lately) and I thought that was a pretty impressive accomplishment. Check them out if you're in the area...they host some great concerts I hear.
