We talked to one cyclist Saturday night that was proceeding across the Gap and then on over to cross the Cherohala Skyway as part of a rally...through the night!

So, thats what? A 60-odd mile trek across some of the most remote pavement known in the state? Possibly within a few states - I'm guessing. I haven't made any trips across the Cherohala @ night, but I'm betting thats damn dark. Ummm... doubtful you get much of any cell service. Ummm.... no thanks! But mad props to the cyclist if he actually did it!
