killboy, you may know this a little better... that particular one i believe had the 3.8 v6, but aren't the 2.0t's essential tamer versions of the evo's engine?
a little more insight: the block is sourced from the 4B11, the motor used in the new Lancer Ralliart (not to be confused with the 4B11T used in the Lancer Evolution X)
That means (1) it will be harder to make power with it and (2) it will fail at lower peak power than the Evo X, which is seeing engine failure below 450WHP
Evo X uses a semi closed deck design while the Genesis coupe turbo uses an open deck.
High boost can possibly warp the cylinders into ovals, so for high power applications the block may need some reinforcement called block guards to reinforce the cylinder walls
