We were coming back from Atlanta and drove past the concert site the day before the concert and they had signs on the interstate about every mile for 20 miles that said "Bonaroo Traffic Use Emergency Lane". I would guess the traffic gets pretty bad while this is going on. Too big of a crowd for me.
The traffic gets a little unbelievable. I lived in Nashville for 6 years and locals tried to avoid it at all costs if possible.
I was in the Nashville area last week. I saw tons of motorcycles on the highway leaving that area. I was told by a local that the highway patrol had seized a million pounds of marijuana. That figure seems pretty excessive to me but if it was true, it just makes me think about how much did get through. must have been quite the party.
