Hi, i am a cyclist (and a rider - why else would i be on this site). You push friends and team mates. You never ask for a push (unless you want to be teased mercilessly afterward) and in 20 years of cycling, i have never ever heard of a woman asking for a push - although i am still hopeful (small butt, big hill). :)
