...I'm not sure how this is considered acceptable. I guess someone will have to die, THEN they'll do something sensible about it, like run a brush behind the mowers.

I see this everywhere here in the western North Carolina area. What's up with these azzhats cuttin there lawn and blowin on to the roadway? Seems like there should be a law or sumthin...
Same here Zeek. I've seen that all over the place. That is an especially bad example.
Make sure Ron sees this - maybe he'll reconsider touting NC as the best place to ride ;)
It looks like rocks and mud debris from a storm?
It was that way all week long during our rally. They were mowing along NC HWY 28, and worse, then it would rain on it making it even more dangerous. Nor did they have any flagmen, etc. to warn you that you were about to come around a corner and meet the tractor. Same as it's always been, NC ends at Asheville if you ask anyone in Raleigh.
J: Nah it happens when their blades dig into the ground, kicking rocks and dirt up onto the road.
Even just a blower running behind, getting the most of it off would be nice.. Hopefully no one has to get hurt until something is done about it.. Ride safe..
