I didn't know this guy, but I'm sorry to have heard about your loss folks. ^^
I actually just wanted to comment on the angle of the shot as I have been visiting this blog for about a year and a half - two years, and haven't seen but maybe 1 or 2 other pics with this sort of angle. None recently... I do think it would be cool to see more of these different/odd angles tho. Doubt many people get to see these sort of angles in person.
