Lost a good one...

Kevin Varner, aka "VMan1300" with the Hayabusa.org group passed away this morning. He had been battling cancer for over a year. If you met Kevin, you already know he was one of the greatest, most fun-loving upbeat guys you could ask for. He always coordinated the Busa Bash photoshoots with us, and always made it a pleasure when I know it took a lot of work on his end. Nothing but tears right now...not much else to say.

Ive known Kevin for 20 yrs now....one of the best friends a man could ask for. I remember when he got his first bike, an 85 GSXR 750.

We shared many miles on 2 wheels brother. You're definitely gonna be missed.

I didn't know Kevin but he was obviously loved by many. I've had a little cancer and you just kinda learn to live with it until it eventually takes over in some cases. I guess we all just take the time given to us and do what we can with it..... RIP Kevin

It was only after seeing the pics on ETR that I realized it was the Kevin I had met 3 summers back. Got to ride with him a few times. He was always nice and friendly whenever he saw me. He was always nice to my son as well and that is worth a lot to anyone who has a kid.
Kevin is one of those guys you can imagine being so big because God couldn't cram all that good in a little package.
I'm truly sad for his family, and friends who knew him far better than I did.

Over the last year I have had the pleasure of working with Kevin at Mr Cycles. He was one of the most out going caring gentleman I have had the privilege of meeting. Great guy to work for, even better person to have in your life. Losing him is difficult because he was normally the guy I would go talk to at times like these. If God didn't have a race track in heaven he made one for this guy. Miss you bud, keep a set of tires warm for me.

I think I met Kevin one year by odd chance when I came up for matg (did he ever put a turbo on his 'busa?). Nice guy, damned shame - Godspeed man. :(
