I'm a flatlander who visits the Dragon (and other twisty roads) only occasionally, and I'm slow! Nothing wrong with that, I guess, but on my last pass up your road a few years ago, I knew I was leading a train of cars and trucks whose drivers all wanted to make better time. I would have pulled off to let them pass if there had been some clearly marked or obvious pulloffs, but all I saw was these cliffs and gravel beyond. As long as the DOT is out improving things, it would be nice if they would add a few convenient runoffs now and then.
That's a good point Jim. Rumor has it they are supposed to pave a LOT of the pull-off areas. We will see...
