It's a Corvair, somewhere around 1965.... during my teenhood I had a friend that had one of these except it was a convertable, 4-speed, 4 carbs, and had an air cleaner that had a separate "snorkle" going to each of the 4 carbs. I remember one night we had been to the Tenn line to get some beer and when we pulled out I grabbed second gear rather hard and jerked the shifter right out of the floor. The thing was stuck in second gear and we limped into a service station that had old junk Corvairs sitting everywhere.... don't get much luckier that that. We were back on the road in about an hour!

That brings back memories. When I was in high school, I had 2 of them: a 65 Monza (2 carbs, 110 HP) convertible, and a 65 Corsa (4 carbs, 140 HP) coupe. I still think this body style (65 and later) is a good looking car. Somebody has put a lot of TLC into this one.

Yeah, that second series two door was a beautiful machine. Too bad Nader killed the 'Vair.
