Weekly Update - November 26, 2008

Photos from the previous six years are available in Our Store here. And don't forget that your friends and family are just dying for hints from you for Christmas, so feel free to point them to our recently updated Scenic Wall Art selection of photos.

Not many photos in this week's update...it's getting to be that time of year when things wind down here. We got some nice shots from Barber last weekend that will go up next week, and a few more from the Gap.

I'm kicking around 2 options to keep things updated through the winter here, and I want your input. I can pull highlights from years ago, and re-use those. Or, we can do the Photoshop thing again, were I pull a few recent highlights as candidates, and readers modify them (usually in a funny way) and send them back to me for the next week's highlights. What do you think?

On to the highlights!

Could you do a "best of" type of thing? Maybe going back through previous highlights and pulling some of your favorites - odd shots/vehicles, bad driving, great lighting, perdy shots, etc. Maybe even do one for a theme each week.

ditto chubert....... but also look under your bed in that shoe box, you know...the one that KG don't know about, and find some "best of" boobies shots and share with us and we all will be very happy... :D

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all!! May you all hurt from over-eating all weekend :D

I like the ideas above. Maybe of "Best Of" of all the highlights or something. Or maybe a mix of your ideas and the ideas above. I know... I'm being of absolutely minimal help, but there ya have it!

I like the idea of highlights from the past. I only started visiting this website around 2003 or 2004 so it'd be interesting to see what was going on before that.

Maybe even a Best/Worst of as well.

I like all your ideas, I check around hear all through the winter, so I'll be participating in the PChop thingy too.

Six years of photos? Yeah, grab some random samples to post through the snowy season. Would love to see some from years ago.

HOW ABOUT A LITTLE CLASS TIME WITH PICS SHOWING THE PROPER WAY TO RIDE/DRIVE INTO, THROUGH, AND OUT OFF A TURN AND CORRECT BODY POSITION. MAYBE SOME OVERHEAD SHOTS OF THE ROAD SHOWING THE RIGHT LINE AND MAYBE A REMINDER OF WHAT SOME OF THE WARNING MARKERS ARE(WITH THE STICKS). WHAT EVER, I'M SURE YOU AND LORI WILL DO GOOD.
HAPPY TURKEY DAY ALL.

I like both ideas, so I too am a lot of help.

I am even less help. I really don't care either way or feel free to go in another direction. All I ask is a reason to go to work on Wednesday morning and fire up the computer.

Happy Thanksgiving.

KB, you never seem to let us down with this site! As a semi noob I'd love to see the idea about "how to" dragon tips. Been riding there several times a year for 4 years now and I'm just now getting to the stage where I feel like I'm getting to know the road a little. That actually scares me a little because I get a little faster along with the courage. Some tips would be AWESOME! Some reality check stuff would be cool too.

I love the idea of tips and hints. I have found that since reading the weekly update my riding has greatly improved, even in the car it helps - head up, look through the turn. Love lurking, anything is great.

Darryl,

How about a "Best Of" series. You could do:

Weirdest Bikes
Funniest Signs
Hottest Babes
Over 18 only
Accidents
Oh course Lori (which was already mentioned)
Cool License Plates
Yadda, yadda, yadda...you get the idea.

Add another vote for highlights from years past. I also like the themes idea.

Maybe show us the very first pic ever posted.

Antique bikes & cars,
scenery along the road that we should not have seen - because we should be watching the road,
regulars of the Gap,
Finest Fotos.(your favs)

Take some time off. We'll live (hopefully).
