I was a cop for several years, and wrote a ton of tickets to people with radar detectors without the instant on radar. I just only turned it on when I saw a speeder. There detector goes off to let them know they were busted.

Clark Kent was not at the top of his game,, The Cops have a nasty tendency to fill the spaces between well-written moments of revelation and plot advancement with episode upon episode of Speeding Tickets.

A officer certified in the use of a radar gun doesn't need the radar gun. The Radar gun is a confirmation of the officers visual estimate of the drivers speed. Most cops get lazy and begin to rely on the electronics instead of the training.... alas, we with radar detectors are similar. Relying on the techno gadget instead of being observant.

=) Every time I've gotten a ticket, I deserved it, and I'm greatful I didn't go to jail! LOL

Oh well.. we play, we pay.

Know too many 'dumber than rocks' officers to believe this. Calibrated eyeball...he couldn't even do algebra. Lets talk distance vs time, what a dumba$$. Unfortunetly he is in the extended family.

Does a red car get more tickets than other colors, you bet. Do sports cars get more tickets than trucks, bout gurantee ya.Do I have a valentine, yup. Do I deserve my tickets, usually.

pay to play.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the Valentine up when I met the officer. My son had taken it down at the Overlook because there were several patrol cars there, and he didn't want to incite anyone.

Nevertheless, totally my fault. I didn't notice it before we started out again and I do feel like an idiot... However, it is pay to play and we will be back when bike weather returns.

Semper Fi!
