Shouldn't they be turning them away though?
I thought trucks were not allowed on that road for obvious reasons.
Like not being able to stay within their lane.
Oh well, plenty of tourists to collect revenue from I guess.
Nope, they are not restricted from driving across the Gap, only warned by one sign on the TN side, and several on the NC side about sharp curves. The officers do usually ticket them for crossing the center lane though after escorting.
i bet thats a little pricey.... i know its pricey having a normal license... i can only imagine having a CDL
I can't thank them enough for the escort of these trucks though. That's a huge public service!
