Whoa! I am glad that that was irritating the crap outa someone else BESIDES me! Mispronouncing SEVERAL of our Moto GP rider's should just be against the rules as a commentator. They should have had one of the usuals that commentates on the European races. YOU know...The British guys that pronounce Ducati "Doo -Kat - AY". The other thing they were doing was calling them "drivers" GEESH!
That is awesome that you guys got to attend the VIP Yamaha Kickoff party! My hubby would have been in heaven since he is a big Rossi fan. I like Rossi, but my loyalties lie with NICKY!!
I do believe Lorenzo says it's pronounced "Lorenshow".
Lorentho is how you pronounce it in Spanish guys and gals !
The letter Z is not pronounced "th" in Spanish. "Zapato" means "shoe" in Spanish, and it's pronounced Za-PAH-toh. All letters in the Spanish alphabet are pronounced one specific way, unlike the English alphabet where you have short and long vowels, soft and hard consonants.
Hey, long time viewer, first time comment. Not looking to stir up any sh*t but I have been to Spain and they do indeed have regional dialects like everyone else. In southern Spain S and Z are often pronounced with a "sth" sound. I think it is a carry over from the Catalan language.
Thanks, love the highlights!
True , The town known as Ibiza is pronounced Ibitha ! sounds like Ibeetha, Oh Snap !
Pro golfer Olazabal pronounced Olathabal , from Spain .
Oh two Snaps !
