Gear is A-L-W-A-Y-S good!! Don't care how hot it is, or how far (or near) I'm going.... I'd rather sweat than bleed. Probably good to let go of the bike too. You don't wanna drag the road any farther than you have too and chances are, you'll stop far before the bike will.
Glad to see it was a low-side though and hopefully you two aren't too bruised.

They were just obeying The Law. The Law says its probable cause for arrest to wear leather body armor. Ask Doc Wooton.
Well... first and foremost I hope both riders are OK. I hate seeing anyone go down. I hope they both learned something from it.
In looking at the pic, maybe her hand on that slick white painted line is/was a good thing? Otherwise ouch!!
OUCH.... Hope there OK.. Maybe they will buy some gear.. At least a armored jacket.. I try to tell this to a guy at work he rides in shorts. O well it's his skin.
