A couple of shots of the lowered reservoir levels just north of the Gap.

These were taken at the Calderwood Powerstation area, but it's the same lake you drive alongside when you first leave the Gap heading north. This used to be all water...they are lowering the reservoir to work on a sink hole near Chilhowee dam.

Great pics, KB! A lady at work went by last weekend and said that cars were being pulled from the lake. Local papers reported that a pickup, Jeep and others were spotted being pulled from the lake. Rumor had it a new Corvette was also spotted (what a waste)! Too bad no pics of that.

WOW! I have never seen that lake this low before! Maybe they will find Jimmy Hoffa, where is Heraldo when you need him!

There are some shots of them pulling the trucks out on EastTNriders.com forum...fairly new trucks too! No mention of Corvettes though. Our guy Jack said there were tons of people there rubber-necking as he went by on the way home that day...cars parked a half-mile down the road!
