Is it an old Allard? Take a look at the image in the background of this link.

Looks like an Allard replica
No replica there... check out the ventilated drum front brakes and transverse leaf-spring front suspension. A well-patinaed driver. A lot of them had thundering Caddy V-8s, and could pass the 'Vettes and Ferraris of the 50's. What better car to enjoy a late summer day in the Smokies?
Yup, an Allard J2X. This one completely original as best I can tell, except for radial tires on original size wire wheels and the nerf bar.
Sydney Allard used a lot of Ford components, including a solid front axle that he sawed in half (coil springs in the "pouches" next to the grille). The "spec" engine was a flathead Ford. But a lot of cars were shipped as "rollers" to the States where OHV V-8's were installed. Cad-Allards TORE UP West Coast sports car racing 1948-52. The handling was atrocious, but nobody could catch them between the corners.
