Weekly Update - July 9, 2008

Photos from last week are in Our Store here. (mostly...still working on Saturday/Sunday) These are just the highlights...

We expected to get slammed for the July 4th holidays, but it was downright dead on the road for good periods Friday and even Saturday. A couple of locals were joking about how they expected to come out and ride for a while, then get slammed with traffic and leave in frustration only to find that it was great riding conditions other than the usual patrol car for every two miles of roadway on weekends anymore.

I still can't understand how this is a "Safety Campaign" when the closest ambulance is still an hour away but we can afford to put 7 LEOs out there all day on weekends. The officers themselves have been mostly professional this year, with a few exceptions of course, but somebody up top is making some bone-headed decisions and allowing people to lay there hurt or dying waiting for EMT to arrive. We've had 3 fatals this year already, ZERO this time last year, and just one more will make this a record year. I think it's safe to say it's time to re-think this approach before someone ends up with egg all over their face.

Moving on, this weekend we'll see the Superhawk Owner Group and Internet Pacific Coast Riders Club in the area, along with who-knows-what else. Let's be careful out there y'all, and please stay in your lane.

Finally, I gotta give a shout out to Chris (didn't get your last name?) for modifying our header graphic slightly to reflect our current state-of-affairs. =)

Enjoy!

The Sling on Lori's graphic is great. Too funny. Hope she is doing well.

Darryl,

Ever consider running for city/area councilman? Or some type of governmental position where your voice can make a difference for travellers of the Dragon?

Ooh! Good idea David. I'd contribute to that campaign. Heck! I'd even design some shirts! Killboy for Mayor!!!!

I know of the Busa and the trike. Have I forgotten a fatality?

A man went down on a cruiser last week.

Oh, and David/Scott: I like to think we make a difference here, but with more fun and without all the bureaucracy. ;)

I hate thatthe man died. I had only had heard aboout the heroic save from the doctor.

Darryl, I'm not worried about you, but that would mean that Lori would be the Secretary of the State of Sexified People. She could mandate that sexy nurses MUST wear sexy uniforms while on duty. (gavel swing) HERE HERE!

We need TN riders to run for Blount County Commission and BC sheriff, then fight illegal orders to overthrow the US Constitution. Note that when Knoxville city councilman Steve Hall crashed last week, breaking many bones, WBIR and KNS failed to demand a police crackdown on hooligan Harley riders in Oak Ridge. So for incentive when you get elected, you're immune from traffic tickets.

Two of the deaths in 08 were due to heart attacks in hospital, with 90% of Dragon deaths due to 1-hour response by Rural Metro (a trillion-dollar foreign-owned for-profit multi-national corporation). So the deaths should be blamed on doctors, who are the leading cause of death in USA (doctors kill 2.5-million US citizens every year). You can also blame poisoned food and water that cause heart attacks. It's not the Dragon's fault when a rider has a heart attack from physical exertion, THEN crashes, or dies by heart attack after minor injuries and medmal. The trike death was due to instability of trikes, with 3 trike fatalities total (reverse trikes are much safer, especially with roll cages like T-Rex). Cops should either be certified as First Responders, and carry First Responder kits and large fire extinguishers in their patrol cars, or cops should be replaced with ambulance crews (which should be govt employees). First Responders are NOT paid a salary in Tennessee, and are required to pay for their own training at college ($500) and buy their own kits ($500). Volunteer Fire Depts and Volunteer Rescue Squads should be replaced with salaried govt jobs. Unless the goal of Big Brother is to kill as many drivers and riders as possible, and expand the Police State. THP still censors the word countersteering on motorcycle "license" tests (which are written by the police-run Motorcycle Safety Foundation school cartel), and never asks riders on crash reports if they know what it is, in order to raise the bodycount and "justify" their jobs. The media mafia and govt skool system also censors countersteering. Until we change these suicidal tendiencies, riders are going to die prematurely, on the Dragon and everywhere else.

Why we need to elect a new sheriff on the Dragon:

"James Berrong is the Sheriff of Blount County. Nuchols was employed as his secretary. Nuchols was also a friend of Berrong’s wife. Nuchols’ complaint states that she was aware that Berrong was having an affair with a subordinate female employee, and around May 29, 2002, Berrong’s wife asked Nuchols on the telephone whether Berrong and the subordinate female employee had traveled out of town together. Nuchols’ complaint further alleged that the day after the telephone call, Berrong called Nuchols into his office, where two other armed officers were present, and presented her with a taped recording of her conversation with Berrong’s wife. Berrong then fired Nuchols, yelling '[y]our ass is fired, you get out of here!' his reason being that, '[y]ou called my wife.' Nuchols further alleged that Berrong then threatened to burn her house down, set her dog on fire, and kill everyone in her family. Berrong then repeated the threat again, telling Nuchols that he would not hire someone to do it, but would carry out the threats himself. Chief Deputy Tony Crisp, who was also in the office, then allegedly said to Nuchols, 'Jo, this conversation never happened, do you understand me?'”

Is there any need for the rants of this 'piratenewstv' individual?

Mike said...

Frankly, I see no need whatsoever for them. They detract considerably from my enjoyment of this site, and I see no benefit from them.

Ban David Miller and Mike the Cop. They detract considerably from safety and freedom on the Dragon. Send em to Gitmo for waterboarding immediately!

Oh brother. I should've expected something like that. This guy reminds me of the Ultimate Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior as he is now...not back when he was wrestling.
