This one's for picking on me last week for running the training gear.

no landing gear at all? how do you set it down without tearing it up?

Land it in the hand or just have to let the lower blades smack the ground a few times. I'm still working on the former.

Really I had just broken the only set of landing gear I had, and still wanted to fly, so said "Screw it" and launched by hand. Yesterday I got the new rubberized "indestructible" landing gear in the mail, so we're good for life now. ;)

Oh, and I've gotten to where I can toss the chopper out into the air dead, and get the blades spinning and achieve lift before it hits the ground. Scary kewl.

Those do look like fun........Now you need to figure out how to get a camera mounted on one!!!!!

It looks pretty cool with no gear. I need to bring my lama up, so we can have coaxial wars.

A camera on one of those...now that would be sweet

You've seen me fly?! ;)

This one will barely lift itself off the ground, so no camera duty here, but the big brother comes up like a rocket, and prolly cruises at around 30-40mph, so it's got potential...just gotta get a better pilot on the sticks.

KB, the trick to flying the CX, or at least the way I learned it, is to bring it off the ground quick. That gets it out of the prop wash and makes it more stable.

Hover it and rotate the direction you want it to go. Then slowly stick forward for forward movement. When you want to turn, level it, hover, rotate the forward stick.

Once you get that down, you'll be able to do just about anything you want with it, with in it's limits that is, just remember, if you get into trouble, level it out.

Also, if you crash, be sure to cut the power, it'll burn the ecu up quick. Don't ask how I found that out LOL.

Hey thanks for the tips Scotty. Yeah I learned to stop pussyfooting about getting off the ground, and just hop it up so it doesn't snag on crap.

I've been pretty good about cutting the power ASAP when the blades hit...no burnt ECUs and I'm sure it's saved the blades several times.

Now the big one is more like flying a plane when it gets going...you don't just pull back to stop flying forward, as it'll climb straight up and stall!

Yeah, the CP is a completely different bird. Best I can do is try to get mine to hover before I blade it into the ground LOL.

My Bro-N-Law is very good at flying them, I wish I could get one once of his ability.

He used to stunt fly gas powered heli's but it got too expensive.

Here's a clip of him flying his CP Pro:
