My two cents - not that it necessarily means anything, but she does not appear to be wearing a wedding ring - so it is entirely possible that she is not the child's mother. But I also know that only really means that she is not wearing a ring. So you can't deduce anything from a picture that you know nothing about other than what you can see.
Show enjoy it for the face value that it is worth.
