...that hole is supposed to contain a drain plug. My dumb ass didn't check it when we worked on the car a couple of weeks ago, and it fell out, locking up the rear tires at 70mph in the rain. (saved it somehow)

You could increase your cool factor by saying you were doing 120 or so...we'd never know.
Ha. Been there done that. 90 mph in a 66 Vette. Stopped in the middle of both lanes on US68. Embarassing! Late for a wedding (ended in divorce). Old rear seal worn out.
