Yes, yes it is cheap for you guys!
Imagine paying over $2 a litre ($7.6 per US gallon)
Oh how I wish I was there to be able to go for a spin and not count the pennies/pounds being being burned and spit out my exhaust pipe!
It's apples & oranges. The cost of gas here compared to there is the difference of taxes on the gas and what those taxes pay for.
