The answer to both: Undoubtedly.
Its a Lotus Esprit. This couple was very nice, met them at Fontana while attending the RX8 BOTD, they also have a Lotus 7. They were unfortunately lost at Fontana because the directions they received to their cabin involved off-roading, and as you can imagine... Lotus not so much an off road vehicle.

That looks old enough to be a 4 cylinder turbo Esprit, they're dedicated fans, trusting it to get them there and home again.

I am pretty sure that this is a Pontiac Fiero kitcar that looks like a Lotus.
