If you've never understood what all the plumbing is about, here's a simplified layout for ya. Intercooler is in front of the radiator, to chill the pressurized intake air, since the turbo tends to heat it up a bit.

SR20...
That thing prob makes around 400whp.
Actually based on the fact that it is a Seven (or at least based on it), the size of the turbo, the assumption that like most people he hasn't opened the bottom end, it probably isn't making much more than 320 if that.
I wouldn't doubt if he actually has it tuned for 280-300.
What I think is funny is the number of cheap items on this car. Here he has a Seven that has a frame built of square tubing, an SR20, but uses a knock off/ebay turbo, and filters. The blow off valve is probably in the same boat but since I can't see the top it might be a real Turbosmart BOV, the way the vents are cut make it appear to be the real deal. So at least he has spent the big bucks on his BOV to make sure that his knock off/ebay turbo doesn't have to experience any stalling.
well, a BOV is a quite simple machine... so no point in spending hundreds for a simple diaphram spring combo... and filters... speak for themselves... how do you know it's an ebay turbo? and the intercooler seems a wee way bit too large for the turbo... too much lag and pressure loss..
A BOV is a quite simple machine but that doesn't mean that it should be skimped on. Doesn't take much for a cheap knock off to come apart at the wrong moment and then your engine is chewed up by metal banging around the combustion chamber.
Every single real maker of turbochargers clearly labels their compressor housings in the casting, this one is completely smooth, no markings, stampings, and whatnot. When you have been around as much as I have you start to get a knack for noticing knock offs without more than a second look.
The intercooler is actually a good size for 400hp, especially considering the size of the front of a seven, however since this car isn't making 400hp it is on the large side. I am more concerned with the end tanks, there is a LOT of efficiency being lost there.
I am with richard. The turbo is cheap. But the filter is not that important. And the bov is important.
