Random Update - January 18, 2007
What's up people! Hope you're making the best of your down time from riding. Last weekend was crazy nice out, despite the foreboding forecasting. For once it was sweet all weekend, and went to crap on Monday! Now they're saying we're in for some snow and ice...
The Evo is still down at Jacob and Noah's shop. Should get the repaired transfer case back in about a week. It's so nice to have someone you can count on to fix your junk right. Check those guys out for your frame/knee/spool sliding needs...I can't recommend them enough. (and I pay for all my work!)
Ya know, I try to avoid sounding like we're selling you something here, although we rely solely on doing just that to put food on our table. So it goes without saying that I try even harder to avoid sounding like I'm selling someone else's stuff on here. We get offers for advertising, and could probably be making a bit more cheddah here, but I know you don't want to see all that. So rest assured, if I recommend something, it ain't for the money.
I will be working with organizers to promote an event at VIR in early October called GT Live. I went after this project all on my own because I think it will be an awesome event and you folks would be interested in checking it out. They've agreed to let us get a couple of cameras and participants in there to give you a full report. It is mostly a car thing, with a little bike stunting thrown in there, but I'm going to try and influence the bigwigs to consider adding more motorcycle action. The key term that sets this event apart is "Interactivity". You don't just spectate, you participate. They take people for rides in race cars, get participants out on the track in their own cars, and you can even let racers show you how to drive YOUR car around the course. (if you want them to ;) Last year over 1,500 people got some sort of time on the track...that's an amazing number for a 2 day event.
So that's it for now...I'm going to get back to keeping my coordination sharp on a little Test Drive Unlimited on the Xbox 360. David and I stayed up until 7am last night driving around the whole island of Hawaii just dorkin' around jumping bikes and cars, racing through traffic...it's crazy realistic...I actually caught myself saying "I wish they would use their damn signals when they're going to turn!". =P

Darryl, I saw a couple of your pics in the most recent issue of Sport Rider magazine - congrats! Hopefully they throw you a few pennies for that.
