The car is a 1968 Triumph TR250 owned and driven by Tim Smith of Naperville, Illinois. He was one of four vintage Triumphs returning from Euro Auto Fest in South caroline on Sunday, Oct. 22.
The Triumph 250 was a last minute decision, for one year only, stop gap model because the long planned Triumph TR6 was delayed (again) by tooling problems. The TR 250 was essentially a TR4 w the IRS option and a small inline 6 from a Triumph sedan in place of the old TR4's inline 4.
