Please be courteous and allow faster traffic to pass. As my friend Rick says, "Behind you they are a threat, in front of you, they are entertainment." Plus it keeps people from making bad passes and endangering others...others which might be you next time.

Please suggest a safe way for a group of cruisers to allow crotch rockets to pass in less than 300 ft of straightaway with a soft shoulder and before a blind curve (about 99% of the Dragon)...
Everyone should expect to ride the Dragon several times before getting a pristine run...
Really all that's necessary for a clean and easy pass to be made on a sportbike is for large groups of bikes or cars to put a little space in between themselves. Even if your parade is 50 bikes long it won't be an issue if you leave room for others to leap frog by. Where the problems arise is when groups ride so close together you couldn't slide a piece of paper in between them, which forces the passer to have to take the entire group in a single maneuver. This way the passee isn't even required to acknowledge the presence of the passer, simply organize your group ride in a manner that lends itself to being part of traffic instead of an obstruction to it and everyone can enjoy their own ride at their own pace. 99% of the passing issues that arise could be alleviated if both parties would simply exercise basic common sense and courtesy.
amen to all of you...a little background...my buddy and i were the ones stuck behind these folks, about half way through...the leader looked like a newby rider and she was averaging about 20mph. the 2nd guy was making things even more difficult by speeding up and riding on the wrong side of the yellow on every "straight" blocking any attempt to pass, even a safe one. maybe he was protecting her by preventing passes, i'm not sure, but a safer method would have been to explain things to her before they rode the gap, let her know what to expect and most of all show her how to allow other riders by safely and courteously. needless to say, frustrated is an understatement. rude riders such as these are very rare...most riders i meet love sharing the road no matter what they ride....unfortunately these folks weren't them. most importantly, we didn't pass them because it wasn't safe. and no matter how frustrated and pissed off you get, always err on the side of caution. no need to risk safety...yours or someone elses...the idea is to survive the dragon so you can slay it another day.
